In today’s world, shopping for a home starts online. Just about any home for sale can be found online. When a home is listed on our MLS (Multiple Listing System) it automatically gets picked up (with no other effort by the broker) by hundreds of websites which births the massive online marketing monster. Marketing a home is just that simple with today’s technology (most brokers don't want you to know this). Other types of marketing that get little if any results include open houses, newspaper ads, magazine ads, radio ads & television ads. Brokers frequently disguise these as extra provided services & marketing tools for the client but in reality they are branding tools to market the real estate agent and their brokerage. They use their client's homes to brand themselves as the neighborhood guru. The odds of an agent selling the home you have listed with them during an open house is slim at best. It's more likely the agent will find a buyer to show other homes to. So why use a smaller real estate company instead of a big branded company? It’s simple. 2000 - Catherine began as a sales manager selling new homes for Toll Brothers at "Mira Vista" in Rancho Mirage California; with her help it became the company's fastest selling development in the entire USA. 2003 - Opportunity arose for her to take a new position to lead the sales team at "Montego Dunes", a development in Indio, California that is commonly referred to as "the best un-gated community in Indio", she sold it out in a mere 15 months. 2005 - Real Estate Value was born to help with the concept and provide the sales team for "The Bridge at Jefferson" development in Indio, California; after selling the first 11 homes, Lennar Corp bought the rights to further develop the project and brought their own sales team. 2006 - We took over the sales department for a Yucca Valley, California development called "Desert Vista Village"; around a year later the recession hit and the development shut down. Real Estate Value adapted by going into re-sales, rentals, short sales, appraisals and the listing and selling of foreclosures for numerous banks and asset management companies. We've bought our own homes from HUD, the court house steps and you name it to fix and flip for profit; we've even been on the TV show "House Hunters".
